Rift: Planes of Telara continues to give us a first look at classes leading up to E3. Today, we get a closer look at the Purifier. The Purifier is a cleric style class that uses Fire and Spirits to defend allies and smite foes. A new take on the Healers of old, the Purifier seems to have very strong offensive and defensive abilities. With support by fire for healing and protecting, they also carry a unique attack using the spirits of their ancestors, looking forward to seeing the spell effects on those. Overall the Purifier has an interesting history and play-style and should be a great class for healer fans who don’t mind smashing foes with some spiritual energy.
Rift: Planes of Telara continues to give us a first look at classes leading up to E3. Today we get a closer look at the Warlock. Masters of death and destruction, these casters look to be the ranged damage dealers in the game. Sending curses upon their enemies the Warlocks may be squishy, but they can dish out some serious nasty damage. Any class that embraces death and entropy is fun for those who like the dark arts and caster style game play. The Warlock appears to fill the classic archetype well with nasty spells.
Trion comes through again with screenshots of the Warlock in action. We will continue our class previews all week leading up to E3 next week when we’ll get the full details. Alos, check out the Warlock write up below.
Our series of class previews continues with a first look at Rift: Planes of Telara’s stealthy Nightblade class. For those of us out there who must have their stealth itch scratched when playing an MMO, the Nightblade will be right up your alley.
As a stealth class the Nightblade prefers to wear light armor, though he isn’t just your typical cloak ‘n’ dagger rogue. Instead, he also possesses the ability to tap into the planar magics of fire and death, giving him that extra edge when ambushing his foes and dispatching them quickly.
Our preview of Rift classes kicks off this week with a look at the Ranger. Classically designed through game philosophy the Ranger is the ultimate Hunter. If playing a ranged or pet class is your particular style of gameplay than look no further. Rangers have always held a close spot in many gamer’s hearts as mythical heroes the likes Robin Hood. Woodsman, archer, hunter, and tamer of beasts all make the Ranger a fun class in any game.
Trion continues to provide us with a preview of the Rift classes as we get close to E3 next week. Below read the write up of the Ranger class and get ready for more next week when we are on hand to check out Rift in person.
